Act with honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all client interactions.
Avoid misleading claims regarding services, qualifications, or outcomes.
Uphold the reputation and credibility of the credit education and consulting profession.

Accuracy & Educational Standards


Provide clients with accurate, factual, and up-to-date credit information.
Never misrepresent laws, credit scoring models, dispute outcomes, or lender requirements.
Maintain competence through continued learning and CEU requirements.

Confidentiality & Data Protection


Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information.
Protect sensitive financial and personal data against unauthorized access.
Use secure systems for communications, documents, and data storage.

Client Interests & Ethical Boundaries


Act in the best interest of the client at all times.
Do not provide legal advice or services outside your scope of certification.
Disclose limitations of services clearly and upfront.
Avoid conflicts of interest—and disclose any that arise immediately.

Compliance with NBCEC™ Standards


Follow all NBCEC™ rules, policies, certification requirements, and renewal obligations.
Report unethical behavior or misconduct when observed.
Cooperate fully with NBCEC™ investigations or disciplinary reviews.
Never share or misuse secure exam content or board intellectual property.
